Chinese EV brand Voyah has officially revealed the first images and technical details of its upcoming Passion S, a high-performance electric SUV designed to compete directly with the rapidly growing wave of premium tech-focused crossovers emerging from China.

The new model enters the increasingly competitive FUV (Fusion Utility Vehicle) segment and is positioned as a direct rival to the upcoming Xiaomi YU7.

With up to 637 horsepower, an 800V charging architecture, LiDAR-based autonomous driving hardware, and an aggressive coupe-inspired design, the Passion S signals Voyah’s ambitions in the premium EV market.

Voyah Passion S Features a Bold, Performance-Focused Design

Voyah describes the Passion S as a “technology-focused dynamic SUV,” and its styling clearly reflects that philosophy.

The front end features a muscular hood design, integrated aerodynamic air channels, and sharp performance-inspired bodywork. The vehicle also appears to incorporate carbon fiber-style exterior elements aimed at enhancing its sporty character.

A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is one of the most noticeable design features, highlighting the SUV’s advanced driver-assistance capabilities.

From the side profile, the Passion S adopts a sleek coupe-SUV silhouette with flowing aerodynamic lines and a long wheelbase that emphasizes its premium positioning.

Large Dimensions Put It in the Premium SUV Segment

The Passion S measures:

  • 5,050 mm in length
  • 1,998 mm in width
  • 1,656 mm in height
  • 3,000 mm wheelbase

Those dimensions place it firmly in the upper mid-size luxury SUV category.

Voyah has also equipped the SUV with 21-inch dark forged wheels and orange brake calipers to reinforce its high-performance image.

At the rear, the vehicle features a large spoiler and additional airflow management elements designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency and visual aggression.

Up to 637 Horsepower Available

The Passion S will be offered in both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations.

The rear-wheel-drive version uses a single electric motor producing 300 kW (402 horsepower).

The more powerful AWD variant adds a second front-mounted motor generating 175 kW (235 horsepower), bringing total system output to 475 kW — approximately 637 horsepower.

That level of performance places the SUV among the most powerful mainstream electric crossovers currently emerging from China.

800V Architecture and LiDAR Technology Included

Voyah confirmed that the Passion S uses an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery pack combined with an 800V high-voltage electrical system.

The 800V platform enables ultra-fast charging capabilities while also improving efficiency and thermal performance.

Meanwhile, the integrated LiDAR system suggests the SUV will offer advanced autonomous driving and intelligent driver-assistance features aimed at competing with other software-heavy EV platforms from Chinese tech-oriented automakers.

Chinese EV Competition Continues to Intensify

The launch of the Passion S highlights how rapidly China’s EV market is evolving beyond affordability into high-performance, software-centric premium vehicles.

Brands like Voyah, Xiaomi, Nio, and others are now competing not only on price, but also on technology integration, charging speed, autonomous driving systems, and performance specifications.

As competition intensifies, the Passion S could become one of the most important models in Voyah’s global expansion strategy.

Additional details regarding pricing, battery range, and launch timing are expected to be announced in the coming months.
