Chery’s Jetour Zongheng F700 Hybrid Pickup Offers 1,300 KM Range and 10-Minute Fast Charging
Chery is expanding its electrified vehicle lineup with a new plug-in hybrid pickup truck designed to combine extreme off-road capability with advanced charging technology.
The company’s premium sub-brand Jetour has officially introduced the Zongheng F700, a massive hybrid pickup featuring an 800V electrical architecture, CATL battery technology, and a claimed combined driving range of 1,300 kilometers (808 miles).
The model is expected to make its global debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November.
10-Minute Charging and 1,300 KM Driving Range
The Jetour Zongheng F700 is built on Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM platform and uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a gasoline engine with electric assistance.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine producing:
- 208 horsepower
- 340 Nm of torque
The engine reportedly achieves a thermal efficiency rate of 45.5%, placing it among the most efficient combustion engines developed by Chinese manufacturers.
However, the biggest technological highlight comes from its battery system.
The F700 uses an 800V high-voltage electrical architecture, a feature rarely seen in the pickup segment. The battery pack is supplied by CATL and uses the company’s 4C dual-layer Shenxing fast-charging technology.
According to Jetour, the battery can charge from 20% to 80% capacity in approximately 10 minutes.

The Zongheng F700 adopts a bold and rugged design language aimed at adventure-focused buyers.

Jetour has equipped the F700 with several features aimed at improving its performance away from paved roads.

One of the most impressive figures announced for the F700 is its claimed fuel consumption of just 1.39 liters per 100 kilometers.
However, this figure requires additional context.
Plug-in hybrid vehicles are evaluated under specific laboratory testing formulas. During these tests, vehicles typically begin with a fully charged battery, allowing them to complete a significant portion of the driving cycle using electric power alone.
In real-world usage:
- Drivers who regularly charge the battery may achieve very low fuel consumption figures
